Richard E. Losardo, M.D
Medical Director
Dr. Richard E. LoSardo serves as the Medical Director of Remedy Therapy Center for Eating Disorders. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Queens College of C.U.N.Y., where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, America’s most prestigious honor society. Dr. LoSardo earned his Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed a Pediatric Residency at New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center, achieving Board Certification in Pediatrics.
Following his work in a Pediatric Practice in Pennsylvania, Dr. LoSardo pursued a Residency in General Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Brown University Medical Center, becoming Board Certified in both specialties.
Since relocating to Florida in 1992, Dr. LoSardo has maintained a private Psychiatry practice in Stuart, Florida. Over the years, he has held leadership roles, including Director of Adolescent Psychiatry, Unit Chief at various psychiatric facilities, and Medical Director in substance use disorder treatment centers.
Dr. LoSardo is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Life Member of the Florida Psychiatric Society, and a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Martin County. His extensive experience and dedication to patient care make him an invaluable part of the team at Remedy Therapy Center for Eating Disorders.
