Dr. Richard E. LoSardo serves as the Medical Director of Remedy Therapy Center for Eating Disorders. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Queens College of C.U.N.Y., where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, America’s most prestigious honor society. Dr. LoSardo earned his Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed a Pediatric Residency at New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center, achieving Board Certification in Pediatrics.

Following his work in a Pediatric Practice in Pennsylvania, Dr. LoSardo pursued a Residency in General Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Brown University Medical Center, becoming Board Certified in both specialties.

Since relocating to Florida in 1992, Dr. LoSardo has maintained a private Psychiatry practice in Stuart, Florida. Over the years, he has held leadership roles, including Director of Adolescent Psychiatry, Unit Chief at various psychiatric facilities, and Medical Director in substance use disorder treatment centers.

Dr. LoSardo is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Life Member of the Florida Psychiatric Society, and a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Martin County. His extensive experience and dedication to patient care make him an invaluable part of the team at Remedy Therapy Center for Eating Disorders.

My name is Amanda Jackson! I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and have 8 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from inpatient eating disorder treatment to substance abuse. I am very passionate about treating patients with a holistic approach and look at each person as a whole rather than just what symptoms they are currently experiencing. I specialize in anxiety, depression, eating disorders, bipolar, and substance abuse. My goal for my patients is to heal from past trauma, practice self-love, and live a fulfilling life. In my free time I practice yoga and love to travel the world. I am enrolled in school to be an advanced homeopathic practitioner. I hope to one day teach others about homeopathy and incorporate this into my practice.

Dr. Kelsey has presented regionally/nationally/ internationally with over 50 invited presentations on topics such as body image, dieting downfalls, eating disorder evidence-based treatment, college student functioning and working with the millennial generation. She has been featured in dozens of media outlets (including TIME, Teen Vogue, Forbes, Today.com, Women’s Health print magazine, Cosmopolitan, Allure, Washington Post, Huffington Post and many others) and is a medical reviewer for Everyday Health. Dr. Kelsey is also the co-author of the children’s book series “POOFAS,” which focuses on helping children to understand their emotions and provide development of positive self-esteem and positive self-talk.

Dr. Kelsey is committed to providing access to care and that is why her company KML Psychological Services is centered on providing opportunity for phenomenal care with the ability to use insurance. She believes firmly that all people should have the ability to receive mental health treatment regardless of income level and KML Psychological Services is committed to being a part of the movement of access to care.

Jennifer Picardo brings over 20 years of healthcare experience specializing in behavioral health to her role as Director of Nursing at Remedy Therapy Center for Eating Disorders. She is committed to providing excellent and safe care to patients and their families, backed by extensive expertise in administration, policy, organizational and strategic management, and innovative leadership.

Jenn began her career as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, earning her Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University. While working full-time at the Institute of Psychiatry on the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) campus, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Health Administration and Policy from MUSC. Upon moving to Florida, Jenn furthered her education with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Palm Beach State College and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Western Governors University. She now serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Nursing Department at Indian River State College.

Her clinical and administrative experience spans various settings within the mental health field, including child/adolescent residential psychiatry, substance abuse medical detoxification, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. This diverse background has helped Jenn develop the knowledge and expertise necessary to excel in the Behavioral Health Field.

Outside of her professional life, Jenn strives to maintain a balanced lifestyle. She has a passion for dance, exercise, and spending time with her family and friends. She is also an enthusiastic competition cheer and dance mom.

Jenn Picardo’s dedication to her field and her comprehensive background make her an invaluable asset to the Remedy Therapy team, where she continues to lead with compassion and expertise.

Amanda has two Masters of Science degrees- Applied Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, Healthspan, & Longevity. After struggling to find purpose in her career as a strength coach, Amanda decided to pursue a path in her first passion: nutrition. She found her true purpose working with patients who struggle with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, which lead her to become a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist in 2022. Amanda loves to educate and counsel her patients in order to elicit a behavioral change, which ultimately allows for food freedom and body respect. Her goal is to continue helping others build a healthy relationship with food and their bodies, along with providing education and training as a consultant to professionals in the field.

Stacie Wertheim is a dedicated registered dietitian nutritionist with a passion for guiding individuals toward balanced and well-rounded lifestyles through sustainable dietary and exercise practices. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health-Nutrition from Liberty University, complementing her robust educational foundation with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University.

With her extensive experience working with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, Stacie combines nutrition-science while ensuring a holistic approach. She believes that true health is all encompassing — physical, emotional and mental wellbeing — not an external measure via shape or size. Her nutrition philosophy is rooted in the principles of intuitive eating which is critical to physical and mental wellbeing.

Stacie takes a collaborative and validating approach to nutrition therapy, making sure every session is tailored to the individual client. Her empathetic and acquiescent nature makes clients feel at ease, while her sense of humor and intellectual curiosity make sessions both enjoyable and informative. Stacie works closely with her clients and has a deep connection on a personal level.

Stacie values compassion, autonomy, understanding, and ingenuity. These principles shape her approach to nutrition and client care, ensuring a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to make lasting changes.
